Is laser therapy covered by medical insurance?

Laser therapy is a non-medical procedure. As such, it is not covered by most insurance plans; however, we will be happy to supply you with any information necessary to submit a claim to your insurance company.

Is laser therapy safe?

Absolutely! Laser therapy is safe, painless and drug-free. Certified Laser Technicians use only approved protocols. The FDA has deemed Low Level Lasers as non-significant risk devices. Carris Care Center uses a bio-stimulation laser not a surgical laser.

Are the results guaranteed?

Unfortunately, because of the complexities of the psychological side of weight  smoking, no one can force you to make the changes or have the commitment necessary. However, we can help suppress the physical addiction to nicotine.

What part of the body is treated?

For smoking cessation, the hands, ears, head and face are treated.

What does the treatment involve?

The treatments are very safe and painless. The treatment includes placing a small probe at certain acupuncture points and allowing a light to penetrate the skin to help release endorphins. It does NOT puncture the skin, it just penetrates it. There are no known negative side effects.

How many treatments will I need?

For smoking, we use a three visit protocol. After you receive your first treatment you will be asked to come back in 5 days, and then again 5 days after the second treatment.

How much does it cost?

The cost of smoking cessation therapy is $299.00. However, you should contact us to see if you qualify for one of our many discount programs.
